Terms of Service
Effective date: 15 July 2026
Provider: GigPigs Pty Ltd (ABN 69 700 276 660, ACN 700 276 660), trading as iD Comedy, Stand Up Sydney and GigPigs, and operator of The Comedy (thecomedy.com.au) and Live Stand Up Comedy (livestandupcomedy.com) ("we", "us", "our").
These Terms govern your use of the GigPigs / Stand Up Sydney / iD Comedy / The Comedy / Live Stand Up Comedy platform, apps and websites (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Services.
Buying tickets is also subject to our Ticketing & Refund Terms. Your privacy is covered by our Privacy Policy. Performers should also read the Performer Image & Content Release.
1. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 16 to hold an account, and 18 to sell tickets, receive payouts, or enter booking/financial arrangements.
- You're responsible for your account, keeping your login secure, and everything done under it. Tell us promptly at
hello@gigpigs.appif you suspect unauthorised use. - Information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
2. Roles on the platform
Accounts may act as audience members, comedians/performers, photographers/videographers, managers, organisers or venues. Some features (e.g. selling tickets, managing events, receiving payouts, accessing customer data) are only available to verified industry accounts and may carry extra terms.
3. Your content
"Your Content" means anything you upload or provide — profiles, bios, photos, listings, messages, lineups, and (for performers) footage-related materials.
- You keep ownership of Your Content.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and adapt Your Content as needed to operate and promote the Services (for example, showing your profile, listing your event, or generating clips per the Performer Release).
- You promise you have the rights to provide Your Content and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or break the law.
- We may remove content that breaches these Terms or our Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Services lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines. You must not misuse the Services, interfere with their operation, scrape or harvest data, attempt to access other users' data, or use them to harass, defraud or harm others.
5. Events, bookings and payments
- Organisers are responsible for their events, listings, pricing, lineups, and for complying with the law (including consumer, work-health-and-safety and licensing requirements).
- Ticket sales are handled through the Services and/or third-party ticketing platforms (Humanitix, Eventbrite) and are subject to the Ticketing & Refund Terms.
- Fees. We may charge fees for certain features (for example ticketing, booking or platform fees). Applicable fees are shown before you commit. Payment providers (Stripe, CyberSource) process payments; their terms also apply.
- Payouts & settlements. Where we facilitate payouts or revenue-share settlements to organisers, venues or performers, amounts, timing and deductions are as set out in the relevant deal or settlement in the Services. You're responsible for your own taxes.
- Bookings between users. Where the Services facilitate a booking or deal between an organiser and a performer, the agreement is between those parties. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for either side's performance.
6. Intellectual property
The Services, and all software, design, and branding, are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose. You must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works except as allowed by law.
7. Third-party services
The Services integrate with third parties (e.g. Humanitix, Eventbrite, Stripe, CyberSource, Meta, Xero). We're not responsible for third-party services, and their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them.
8. Availability & changes
We aim to keep the Services available but don't guarantee they'll be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms — we'll post the updated version and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Services means you accept the changes.
9. Suspension & termination
You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time (see Data & Account Deletion). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or where required by law. Some obligations survive termination (including sections 3 licence for already-published content, 6, 10, 11 and 13).
10. Consumer guarantees & our liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other laws that can't be excluded. Where we're permitted to limit liability, our liability to you is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of re-supply.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits or revenue, or loss arising from events, bookings or content controlled by other users or third parties. Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the Services is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or AUD $100 — except where the law says otherwise.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, Your Content, or your events/activities on the Services, to the extent caused by you and permitted by law.
12. Disputes
Please contact us first at hello@gigpigs.app so we can try to resolve any issue.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
