Performer Image & Content Release
Effective date: 15 July 2026
Provider: GigPigs Pty Ltd, trading as iD Comedy, Stand Up Sydney and GigPigs, and operator of The Comedy (thecomedy.com.au) and Live Stand Up Comedy (livestandupcomedy.com).
We record live comedy and turn that footage into clips, reels and promotional content — for the show, for the platform, and for the performer's own profile and use. This release explains what we do with a performer's image, voice and performance, and how a performer can set limits or opt out. It reads alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What this covers
"Footage" means audio, photos and video captured at events we or an organiser record, that include your image, likeness, voice and performance. "Derived Content" means clips, reels, captioned videos, stills and promotional materials we create from Footage — including automated processing that frames and follows the performer on stage and adds captions.
2. Your consent
By performing at an event covered by this release, or by agreeing to it in the Services, you consent to us:
- capturing Footage of your performance;
- processing it to create Derived Content (including automated framing/caption tools);
- using and publishing Derived Content to promote the event, the platform and the live-comedy community, and on your own directory/EPK profile;
- storing Footage and Derived Content for these purposes.
You confirm the performance and material are yours to grant this for, and don't infringe anyone else's rights.
3. What we do — and don't do
- We use Footage for promotion and profiles, and to give you clips of your own sets.
- Automated framing follows the performer to keep them in shot; we use it for editing, not to identify strangers. We don't use Footage to build a facial-recognition database or to identify audience members.
- We don't sell your Footage to unrelated third parties for their own advertising.
4. Your controls
- Opt out up front: you can decline this release before an event, or in your account settings. If you decline, we won't publish Derived Content featuring you (Footage may still be captured incidentally as part of a whole-room recording).
- Ask us to stop / take down: you can ask us to stop future use and to remove specific clips. We'll honour reasonable requests and remove content from surfaces we control, though copies already shared, downloaded or licensed by others may be beyond our control to recall.
- Your own clips: where the Services give you your own clips/reels, they're for your use subject to these terms.
5. Ownership and licence
We (or the organiser) own the recordings we make and the Derived Content we produce, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your image, voice and performance within that content for the purposes above. You keep your rights in your underlying material and stage name.
6. No obligation, no payment
We're not obliged to create or publish any Derived Content, and (unless separately agreed in writing) no fee is payable to you for the promotional uses described here. Any paid or commercial use beyond promotion would be agreed separately.
7. Audience members
Audiences may appear incidentally in room recordings. That's covered by our Privacy Policy and the notice at ticketing/entry; audience members can ask us to remove footage featuring them where reasonable.
