Acceptable Use

Provider: GigPigs Pty Ltd, trading as iD Comedy, Stand Up Sydney and GigPigs, and operator of The Comedy (thecomedy.com.au) and Live Stand Up Comedy (livestandupcomedy.com).

The GigPigs / Stand Up Sydney / iD Comedy / The Comedy / Live Stand Up Comedy community runs on trust — between comedians, organisers, venues and audiences. These guidelines set out what's expected of everyone who uses the Services. They're part of, and read with, our Terms of Service.

Comedy pushes boundaries — we get it. These rules are about conduct and safety on the platform, not about policing a comedian's material on stage.

1. Be respectful and safe

  • Treat others professionally. No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate directed at people based on protected attributes.
  • No content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that incites violence or serious harm.
  • No sexual content involving minors, and nothing that sexualises children — ever. We report this to authorities.

2. Be honest

  • Don't impersonate someone else, misrepresent who you are, or set up fake profiles or accounts.
  • Organisers: list events accurately — dates, times, lineups, pricing and venue. Don't advertise acts who haven't agreed to appear.
  • Don't post fake reviews, vouches or engagement.

3. Respect other people's rights and data

  • Only upload content you have the rights to. Don't post other people's photos, video, or personal information without permission.
  • If you're given access to customer or attendee data (for example as an organiser), use it only for that event and in line with privacy law and our Privacy Policy. Don't export, sell, or repurpose it.
  • Respect performers' image rights — see the Performer Image & Content Release.

4. Don't misuse the platform

  • No spam, scams, or deceptive marketing.
  • No scraping, harvesting, bulk-downloading, or automated access without our written permission.
  • Don't try to break, overload, probe or bypass the security of the Services, or access data or accounts that aren't yours.
  • No malware, and no using the Services to distribute it.

5. Payments and dealings

  • Deal fairly. Honour bookings, payouts and settlements you agree to.
  • Don't use the Services to launder money, evade tax, or facilitate anything illegal.
  • Keep disputes civil and try to resolve them directly; contact us if you need help.

6. Content moderation and reporting

  • You can report content or behaviour that breaks these guidelines to hello@gigpigs.app.
  • We may review, remove, or restrict content, and we may act on reports at our discretion. We aim to be fair and consistent.

7. Enforcement

Breaching these guidelines may lead to content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or account termination, depending on severity — as set out in our Terms of Service. Serious or illegal conduct may be reported to authorities.
